Costa Azul

This stunningly azure beach with an unending coast is one of the most romantic destinations near Cabo San Lucas. Costa Azul also attracts several surfing enthusiasts with its beautiful curling waters, and its safe waters offer an ideal spot for swimming as well. If beach-lazing is more your style, find a quiet alcove on the golden expanse of the beach, and sip on fresh Cocos Frios available near the small pull-out area. Walking along the length of the beach during nighttime is enchanting to say the least, as the intermittent torches along the beach are set ablaze, casting a mellow glow over the tranquil waters.

Playa Palmilla

Just west of the Pepe restaurant's entrance is a short dirt road that leads to the beach. Next to the Hotel Palmilla, it offers a calm bay area and rental equipment onsite. If you are interested in snorkeling or scuba diving, the equipment may be found here. Sheltered enough for swimming, take advantage of its location to avoid the busy crowds of downtown. In addition, the hotel allows guests access to its restaurants and bar areas and use of bathrooms.

Arch of Cabo San Lucas

At the southernmost tip of the Baja peninsula, lies one of Cabo's most famous landmarks, the Arch of Cabo San Lucas or the Land's End. This area is comprised of a large cluster of rock formations that were carved into fantastic shapes by wind and sea. During low tide, many visitors like to walk here along Playa del Amante (Lover's Beach) because it allows for a better view of an eroded passageway called the Arch of Poseidon. You can also observe Los Frailes, two rock islets that are frequented by sea lions.

Whale Watch Cabo

Whale Watch Cabo takes you on an exciting journey along the Sea of Cortez, where an up-close and personal rendezvous with majestic whales is guaranteed. Participants typically board the safe Zodiac or Super Panga boats, equipped with microphones so that you can hear your finned friends croon. There is also a marine biologist on board to offer helpful information, and whale sightings are vouched for. Participants can also take free tour photos with whales splashing about in the mighty waters in the backdrop.

Mt.Solmar

A haven for avid hikers and climbers, Mt.Solmar allures adventure seekers with some striking vistas of the azure waters and the neighboring landscape. Not an easy ascend, Mt. Solmar does promise some far-reaching views and well-laid out hiking tracks. Different access areas mean you are in for a challenging yet fun hike, even as you can choose from several hotels and mountainside resorts to relax post an uphill climb.

Pisces Cabo

Pisces Cabo is one of the best tourist attractions in the city, when it comes to outdoor marine excursions. You have the choice to arrange a private fishing charter or private yacht charter. This fishing charter has received the Conservation Award from the International Game Fish Association for its catch and release policies. The staff knows these waters well, and they can provide excellent charter service or private yacht cruises. Imagine sailing around the bay of Cabo on an 86-foot yacht! It also offers a wide range of activities and rentals from Medano Beach.
