"Cantabria's Finest Artists"

Cantabria's most important collection of paintings are spread over three floors of this fine neoclassical building. You'll find 16th to 18th-century Flemish and Italian works, 16th to 20th-century Spanish works and sculptures dating from the 19th and 20th-centuries, as well as, collections of coins, medals and stamps. The museum was established in 1908 and the Leonardo Rucabado's building was classified as a heritage site in 1962. There are regular exhibitions throughout the year and admission is free.
