by Foto-Rabe

"Church in El Sardinero"

The church was built in 1944 by the architect, Ramiro Sainz Martínez, incorporating traditional elements into its essentially cubist design. The most outstanding feature is the soaring square tower. Take the opportunity for a little quiet meditation away from the bustle of El Sardinero's busy beaches and gardens, and enjoy the shade of the surrounding pine trees. Mass is conducted at: 6:30p & 7:30p Mon-Sat; 9a, 11a, noon, 1p, 6:30p & 7:30p on Sundays. Visits to the church can be conducted during mass only.
