A project of the First Lady, Marta Larraechea, this museum features colorful and unique interactive displays that focus on hands-on interaction. Designed with school-age children in mind, the museum offers exhibits on science, technology and history. Take a look a the rich history of mining in Chile or learn about electromagnetism. This playful learning environment receives over 430,000 visitors annually.
Parque Araucano is situated in front of the Parque Arauco mall, which is one of the biggest in the country. It covers a large area of land where you can find a swimming pool, several pathways to stroll along, children's play areas and kiosks with drinks and ice cream. It is a place where all the family can go to walk the dog, cycle, take the children to play or simply stroll in the gardens.
With its attractive sculptures and beautiful green scenery, this park-cum-museum is the perfect place to enjoy a pleasant walk alongside the Mapocho river on a temperate summer evening. The sculptures are made out of stone, metal and wood respectively, and rambunctious children often use them as makeshift jungle gyms. The park is also home to a concert hall where national and international stars perform. During the summer months, the hall hosts a series of jazz concerts organized by the local council. Entrance is free.
This nature reserve, just one hour outside Santiago, has picnic and camping areas and small conifer forests. The 14-kilometer pathways lead to the wide Cordillerano Valley and continue on up to the hanging glaciers of La Paloma and El Altar. Abundant bird life is found at all elevations, but those who venture along the higher trails may be rewarded with glimpses of eagles and condors. Although the reserve is open year round, it is best enjoyed during the summer months from December to March. Admission is CPL1,200 for adults and CPL600 for children.

Having a capacity of 67,000 the 'Estadio Nacional de Chile' is known as one of the largest stadiums in Chile. This stadium was inaugurated on 3rd December 1938 and has hosted a number of important events. The stadium has been one of the venues for the 1962 FIFA World Cup and the finals of the 1953 World Basketball Championship. Known as the national stadium of Chile, this place also features other amenities like a gymnasium, swimming pool and tennis courts.
