Parque Forestal

The grounds of this park were obtained by the canalization of the Mapocho River in 1891. In 1900 the administrator Enrique Cousiño began the construction of the Forestal Park with his fellow countryman Jorge Dubois. Many monuments, sculptures, and species of trees are found here. It is a must on Sundays for the people of Santiago, who come here for their weekly stroll. It is especially pretty in autumn and a blessing on hot summer days. It is an oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle and noise of the large city.

La Batuta

This bar is the oldest venue for live music in Santiago. National and international bands, performing rock, hip hop, heavy metal and jazz perform.There are two parts to this venue, one with the stage and dancefloor and the other with the bar. There are tables, a long bar with stools and comfortable seats, all decorated in a simple manner. Steel and metal play an important role in this bar, as well as the dark atmosphere, both of which are ideal for concerts. In the entrance, photographs of bands that have performed there are hung on the painted and sculptured walls. It has a capacity for 250 people.

Viña Cousiño Macul

Viña Cousiño Macul was established in 1856 by the Cousino family, making it one of the oldest wineries in Santiago. Still maintaining its family ownership, the company exports its wines all around South America, Mexico, United States, Canada, England, and Germany increasing its reputation as one of the finest producers of wine in the world with each passing day. This 19th-century winery is also open to the public, offering regular, premium and bicycle tours around the property. Tours include a guided tour of the wine cellars, followed by a series of wine tasting sessions.

Viña Undurraga

Viña Undurraga was founded in 1885 by Francisco Undurraga Vicuña on his own land, which is situated 34 kilometers from Santiago on the road to Melipilla Antiguo. This was the first (and is currently the only) place to cultivate pre-phylloxera vines. Numerous dignitaries, including the Prince of Wales, Carlos de Borbón and Fernando de Babiera, have visited the vineyard. The beautiful gardens were designed by Pierre Dubois. Free, guided tours are available, which explain the bottling and labeling process and finish off in the gardens.

Parque Zoologico Buin Zoo

Perfect for all ages, this zoo offers educational activities and exhibits with exotic animals galore.
