Marine City Beach

The beautiful Marine City Beach is located on the shores of the St. Clair River in Marine City. Offering plenty of recreational opportunities, the beach is a serene oasis for families. It offers a spacious pavilion, a bathhouse, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and benches overlooking the shimmering waters of the river. Marine City Beach is also a popular destination for swimming and fishing among locals and tourists alike. When in town, visit the beach to unwind and relax by the river and watch the ships go by.

Algonac State Park

Endowed with striking natural features which delight nature lovers, Algonac State Park is a fun destination for the entire family. Explorations of the landscape yield prairie fields and rolling grasslands that intersperse stands of majestic oaks. Keep your eyes peeled for the birdlife which frequents the area, or watch as freighters glide by. Alternatively, picnic by the river, or fish along its shores. Camping and picnicking facilities are also available here. Additionally, the park contains a playground and a shooting range.

Marine City Pride and Heritage Museum

Travel back in time and explore the shipbuilding history of Marine City with a visit to Marine City Pride and Heritage Museum. The museum is housed in a beautiful 19th-century building that once served as the Village Hall. It features a well-curated collection of maritime artifacts, models of old ships, shipbuilding equipment, and other fascinating exhibits. The highlights of the museum include a scale model of the 1868 tugboat "Champion", an old painting depicting the famous tugboat, and a diorama of the Belle River. The place also showcases furnished rooms from the 1880s and an old blacksmith shop.

Peche Island Rear Range Light

Peche Island Rear Range Light is a unique lighthouse with a fascinating history. The structure was built in 1908 and originally stood off Peche Island, at the mouth of the Detroit River from Lake St. Clair in Ontario. The lighthouse was expanded over the years and served as a guiding beacon for vessels and ships on the lake. By 1982, the old building fell into disrepair and could no longer be used. The weathered structure was then rescued and moved to Marine City by Michigan Bank - Port Huron to be preserved as a heritage building. Today, the lighthouse stands tall at 60 feet (18.28 meters), serving as an important historical landmark of the town.

Lexington State Harbor

Lexington State Harbor offers stunning views of the majestic Lake Huron. Visitors can take a stroll along the boardwalk and watch the boats docked at the marina or take a boat ride by the lake. This harbor is lined with shops, restaurants and cafés. It also features a playground for children to play, picnic areas and several benches.

Lester House

Lester House is the former residence of Captain David Lester, an entrepreneur and prominent citizen of Marine City. Captain Lester moved to Marine City in 1835 and was elected the first president of the town in 1865. This beautifully restored and well-preserved building now forms part of the town's rich architectural heritage. Owned and maintained by the Lester-Brown Foundation, Lester House aims to educate locals and tourists about the town's maritime history and preserve the landmark. Today, the house is also used for weddings, private functions, and other local events.
