"Kinetic Metal Towers and Pipes"

A public art work of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, The Soundgarden is an innovative concept that was created by Douglas Hollis in 1983. The venue consists of 12 metal towers, within which organic pipes of multiple sizes are situated. When the wind blows, these weathervane materials produce a strange kind of sound. The venue attracts several visitors who come to listen to these unusual tunes, and appreciate the uniqueness of Soundgarden's design.
