How often do you get to see a tugboat that is not just a historic landmark but also a movie set? One of the oldest hulled tugboats afloat in the United States, Arthur Foss has been a part of several key events in the history of America - from being a transporter during the Alaskan Gold Rush to helping the construction of harbors and bases. She was also cast by MGM studio to play a role in their 1933 film Tugboat Annie. Now officially retired, Arthur Foss is a heritage vessel with public programs and platforms for public service. She is open for visitor tours on summer weekends and by appointment.
