Howland Mill Village Historic District is a historic neighborhood in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 and contains almost 100 contributing structures, most of them designed in Queen Anne and Colonial Revival styles. Designed by Wheelwright and Haven in 1888, a lot of the constructions are gable-ended wood framed cottages.
One of the best examples of a large, multi-functional college events center is the Edwards Auditorium, located on the URI campus. It features events, concerts, college meets with different dimensions and purposes. A visit to the auditorium is a must for students and faculty members alike. Call ahead for further details.
Keaney Gymnasium situated inside The University of Rhode Island is named after Frank Keaney, who led the University's football and basketball teams to new heights during his tenure as the head coach between 1920 to 1948. This arena has been home to Rhode Island Rams men's and women's basketball team from 1953 to 2002. Keaney Gymnasium is currently home to the Rhode Island Rams men's and women's volleyball team. This arena also features locker rooms for different varsity teams of The University of Rhode Island.
