YES24 MUV Hall is used for concerts, screenings and other events. Equipped with the latest sound and light technology, it is nestled between Hongik University and Hapjeong station. There is a lounge and kitchen called "The M" on its lower level which is open during shows. Opened in 2009, Myeongdong NANTA Theater is one of three stages of the famous Nanta show in Seoul. It is also the first permanent theater to showcase this non-verbal, Samul nori-style comic act. Since it is a visual gag, even if you don't know the language, you will laugh your hearts out at the antics of the actors. The story is about three cooks who are time-pressed to prepare a wedding a banquet. The whole cooking scenario is enacted through drumming, acrobatics, chopping and juggling. The audience is also involved in the enthralling show. If you want to catch a show, the Myeongdong NANTA Theater is indeed the best option with two shows during the week and three in the weekends.
This large cemetery is the resting place of the assassinated president Park Chung-hee, as well as 110,000 other Koreans. Originally only for soldiers who died in wars, since 1965 civilians who contributed to society have also been buried here. On the weekends especially, many people come and quietly stroll along the paths among the trees, grass and flowers and pay respect to the deceased. There is a small museum, including a short explanatory film, inside the cemetery grounds. If you come here be sure not to make any unnecessary noise and wear modest clothing.

Since 1972, Seodaemun Prison History Center has been a national independence monument, dedicated to those who suffered in the name of Korea under the Japanese occupation (1910-45). It was built during the time of Japan's oppression of Korea, and even today the walls are haunted by the many atrocities committed at this site. The cells, confinement and torture rooms are restored to how they were before 1945. There is also a hall with some historical background and descriptions.
Taekwondo, one of Korea's national martial arts, enjoys international recognition. At the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics, it debuted as a medal sport. Visit (Kukkiwon) Taekwondo Memorial Hall to learn more about the history and significance of this martial art. Around 3,000 items relating to Taekwondo are on display, including trophies from international and national meets, uniforms, medals, newspaper articles, pendants, victory flags, and written tributes. Admission is free.
