Imun Seolleongtang

When it opened in 1904, it created history by being the first of its kind to apply officially for a restaurant license in the country. Imun Seolleongtang has managed to create yet another history by being South Korea's oldest eatery and also for continuously serving diners for over a century now. This non-frills space is known for its hearty ox bone soup (Seolleongtang). The beef shank bones are simmered for 17 hours to reach its milky white texture. In the meantime other beef cuts are added to add more flavor. You will only find this dish in Seoul. They also serve Doganitang (ox knee soup) and suyuk (thinly sliced beef meat).

Myeongdong Kyoja

Myeongdong Kyoja was established in 1976 and has become an institution for quintessential Korean food. It serves typical local specialties such as Kongguksu, a cold Chlorella noodle dish and Bibimguksu, a mixed noodle recipe prepared using sesame oil and soy sauce. The three other items on the menu are Kimchi, Mandu (dumplings) and Kalguksu, a noodle soup made from hand-rolled noodles. The waiting staff serves food at the table but the payment is made while placing the order, just like at fast food joints. This is the place to go if you want traditional Korean cuisine at inexpensive prices. It is also popular for its takeaway packages.

Kwonsooksoo

Relish contemporary Korean cuisine at the Michelin star restaurant, Kwonsooksoo. Sooksoo literally means professional chef and in this case it refers to the culinary chef maestro and owner, Chef Kwon Woo Joong. Chef Joong draws culinary inspiration from his family traditions and experiences as a chef. Discover unique flavors since exotic and rare ingredients that are procured from various parts of the country are utilized in the kitchen. Kwonsooksoo also offers an interesting collection of exquisite wines, making it a great option for oenophiles. Reservations are recommended.

Hemlagat

Ciné de Chef

A unique place in itself, Ciné de Chef is a movie theater and a restaurant, located on Nonhyeon-ro. The lavishly built space can seat 30 people at a time. Established in May 2007, the Ciné de Chef was a huge success from its first year itself! Within a couple of months since its inception, it had over 2,000 visitors. The theater offers a well-equipped sound system; there are sound fixtures in the ceiling and flooring as well. The restaurant is known for serving scrumptious Korean and contemporary Asian meals, cooked to absolute perfection by culinary experts with a Le Cordon Bleu certificate. Salam

Salam is a luxurious Turkish eatery that specializes in hummus and Döner kebab, a roasted meat item prepared on a vertical skewer. It is situated close to a mosque and attracts followers of Islam as it serves halal meat. The interiors are sophisticated with an Oriental touch, and are ideal for business meals. Guests can either dine à la carte or choose from a set menu that includes soup, salad, kebab, main course, rice or bread, dessert and Turkish coffee or tea. Guests can even have a look at the dishes arranged on the main table before placing an order.
