Birth of the New Man

Also known as the Egg of Columbus, Birth of The New Man is a popular statue situated in the San Jerónimo park of Sevilla. Brainchild of the celebrated Russian sculptor Zurab Tseretelli, this sculpture was built to commemorate the works of legendary navigator Christopher Columbus. Standing tall at 32 meters(104.98 feet), this bronze-statue is erected in the center of a small pond. Since its construction in 1995, Birth of The New Man has earned a name for itself as one of the tallest and most beautiful statues in Sevilla.
