The Fox and Duck

With a healthy mix of students and non-students, this university-owned pub has recently been refurbished and now boasts an attractive heated outdoor seating area. A wide selection of drought bitters and lagers is available to choose from (or work your way through) and drinks are particularly cheap during the week. The pub is popular with a crowd of students and young locals, and this ethos is prevalent: customers are allowed to bring their own food and will even be provided with plates and cutlery if they do. The music can be loud, but this is an attractive, well-furnished pub with a lively, friendly atmosphere: if you're under thirty, or even just young at heart, you'll love it.
