"A Piece of History"

A vacant and disused cottage, located on Stumperlowe Hall Road, the Stumperlowe Cottage is a unique piece of history. It was originally built as a cottage with an attached barn but has now been converted into a long residential building. It served as a private residence for quite a few decades, before it was left vacant. In 1968, the cottage was in a complete ruinous state when the last resident of the building moved out. However, in 1970, it was designated as a Grade II listed building and since then efforts are being made to restore and remodel the ancient house.
