Top Rated Shopping in Sheffield

Search Radius (Miles)
Chapel Walk

Chapel Walk is a narrow but very attractive shopping area, which leads off of Sheffield's principle shopping street, Fargate. It leads through to the cultural center of the city, which houses the Crucible and Lyceum theaters and Ruskin Gallery, and is home to a mix of unusual boutiques and craft shops, which nestle beside the usual high fashion retailers like Warehouse and Oasis. The city's most popular green-grocer is also tucked away down here. Between here and the Town Hall gardens is a whole host of cafes, pubs, restaurants, specialist and craft shops which surprise even the regular visitor to Sheffield.

Edward James Jewellery

Edward James is a small, but up-market jewelery outlet. The business offers a range of high-quality necklaces, rings, watches and brooches in a wide range of different sizes, finishes and materials. A particular attraction is that, unlike many high street jewelers, Edward James is a manufacturing jeweler and items can be personalized, or even made to order and staff offer detailed advice on what is available: personal consultations can be arranged by appointment. A repair service is offered, and a small amount of second-hand jewelery is also available.

London Road (Sheffield)

Enjoy shopping to your heart's content at London Road (Sheffield). This street is filled with shops and pubs for a fun time. The street has a number of South Asian restaurants and Polish bars, giving it a multicultural feel and making it an ideal stop for tourists. The Highfield library is also located here.

Sheffield Scene

Sheffield is famous for its steel-producing heritage and at Sheffield Scene, you can buy a very wide range of locally-made penknives, tankards, hip flasks and other stainless products at very reasonable prices. The shop, which is situated in the city centre, is one of the few places in Sheffield where you can purchase an extensive range of local goods, such as key rings, stationery, post cards, portraits of local and sporting heroes and pictures of local scenes. Books and maps of Sheffield and the surrounding area can also be purchased in the store. The lower floor is an outlet for locally-made cutlery at prices that are well below those of most stores. This small but well-stocked shop is a great place to pick up a local gift or to stock up on your kitchenware at bargain prices.

Crystal Peaks Shopping Mall & Retail Park

Crystal Peaks is a large out-of-town shopping arcade and entertainments center. Its design is modern and airy, and a glass lift and escalators connect the two floors. The upper floor is dedicated to the usual established high street shops with a large newsagent, pharmacy, and department store. There is also a large indoor market. Entertainment and leisure are the focus of the ground floor. A selection of eateries are on offer, and a ten-screen UCI cinema draws in the crowds every evening. Outside the main precinct, you will find all the amenities you would expect from a small town, including a bus station, library, post office, estate agents and travel service. The center as a whole is wheelchair friendly.

The Emporium

Over fifty dealers buy and sell collectibles from stands in Sheffield Antiques Emporium, resulting in a little Aladdin's cave where you can browse through a huge range of items from different eras. Art Deco and Art Nouveau rub shoulders with high Victoriana and treasures from the thirties and forties. The emporium is open seven days a week for antique furniture, militaria, books, postcards, architectural salvage, porcelain, china, lighting, silver, soft furnishings and lots more. Even if you have no intention of buying anything, this is a great place to browse and to absorb the atmosphere. And, when you get tired, a coffee shop serving drinks, snacks and home made cakes is available on site.
