"The Church of Shepton"

The St Michael's Church is a remarkable looking structure in Shepton Beauchamp which has been around since the 13th century. Although the origins of the church go back in time, a majority of the building was changed in the restoration process that was overlooked by popular ecclesiastical architect George Edmund Street who was known for his Gothic Revival style designs. Another historic element is the set of eight bells in the tower from the Bilbie family. This place was deemed a Grade I listed building since 4th February 1958.
