Located within the Centenary College, Meadows Museum of Art showcases a fine selection of contemporary art by local as well as nationally-renowned artists. The museum was established in 1975 and houses a permanent collection of nearly 1600 artworks. Some of the oldest artworks in the collection include work by the French artist Jean Despujols. Other prominent artists in the collection include Mary Cassatt, George Grosz and Rufino Tamayo. The on-site gift shop offers unique souvenirs.
