Constructed from 1914 to 1915, Villa Grün is a building built on the behalf of the mine and smelter owner Carl Grun in Dillenburg, Germany. This protected monument houses a museum since the year 1983. The museum displays exhibits showing the economic development and structure of the dill area in around 20 rooms here. With the kitchen showcasing items from the middle ages to modern times, special exhibitions are also held at this venue.
Overlooking the scenic Danube River, the Burg Greifenstein is believed to have existed since the 11th Century. In the 16th Century, the castle was converted into a prison. The castle withstood many wars and was under repairs and renovations continually. Until the early 19th Century, the castle was owned by the counts of Passau. The castle fell into private hands on a number of occasions over the course of several centuries, with William Maurice of Solms-Greifenstein being its last owner. The castle is currently preserved and maintained by the Greifenstein Society.
Haus Lützinghausen is a two-story mansion in Gummersbach, Germany. It was built in 1733 by Johann Theodor Casper von Omphal and his wife Anna Klara von Neuhoff and stands as a monument in the present day. The massive stone building has a series of windows on its four sides and is covered by a two-story mansard roof. The historic mansion falls under monument protection and is a wonderful site to visit.

They were Siegen, Cologne and Antwerp. However a Dutch archive showed that this famed artist was born in Siegen. The Rubensbrunnen or Ruben's Fountain on the grounds of the Oberes Schloss is an ode to this and a memento of these cities wrangle for that position. It showcases a trio of women huddled together with the central figure carrying a child in her arms.
Dating back to medieval times, Altstadt Siegen was nearly destroyed during the bombings of the World War II. During that era it was populated by craftsmen and even today its narrow lanes are named after some of them. As you stroll this historic part of the city, you will find quaint half-timbered structures, butcher's guilds, blacksmith guilds and other historic structures. Perched on its hilltop location, one get a glimpse of this historic landmark from far off. Landgrafenschloss Biedenkopf or Schloss Biedenkopf is a stately fortress castle from the Middle Ages. However it lost its significance in the coming centuries and used as a storage for grains in the 16th Century. It suffered severe damage during the Thirty Years War. During the 19th Century, it underwent a major reconstruction. Since 1908, it is home to the Hinterlandmuseum, one of the most important museums of the town. You can still visit the castle during your visit to the museum and get to know the architectural history of this former castle. The Rittersaal is a cultural space and showcases regional theater and concerts. The inner courtyard is also used at times for medieval markets and theatrical acts.
