Rachelsee

There is hardly an illustrated book of the Bavarian Forest in which the picture of the wooden chapel picturesquely situated above Lake Rachel does not appear. Starting from the chapel you follow the lake wall down to the lake. The route requires sturdy water-proof shoes. Lake Rachel is the only natural standing water in the forested mountains. For reasons of conservation only one side of the lakeshore is accessible.
