The Van Buren County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of this small Michigan enclave, operating from a 19th-century poorhouse in which numerous artifacts of the era are archived and displayed. The three story building dates back to 1884, and today contains an assortment of period clothing and housewares, a music memorabilia room, a one-room schoolhouse, a general store and even a dentist office. To the rear of the grounds are a blacksmith shop and an authentic log cabin that gives visitors an idea of how the spaces in which the area's inhabitants once lived and worked.

Overlooking the gorgeous shoreline of Lake Michigan, Lake Bluff Park is located at the very edge of St. Joseph, MI, near attractions such as Silver Beach County Park and Whirlpool Centennial. The downtown, urban park features a small but pretty green area that is highlighted by an impressive fountain, a war memorial and many such elements. The park is also home to Bandshell which regularly hosts concerts and live music events. Apart from that the park itself is used as the site for The Krasl Art Fair and Concours d'Elegance of Southwest Michigan every year.

The small village of Sawyer is home to a gorgeous state park known as the Warren Dunes State Park. The gorgeous shoreline of this park makes it ideal for swimming, fishing and for sports, and the sand here is white and soft, making it a perfect spot for walking your dog or for a jog in the evening. Apart from its picturesque beauty, the Warren Dunes State Park is also known for its 260 feet (79 meter) high sand dune which lets visitors enjoy a panoramic view of the lake. There are many hiking trails around the park and it is also home to a campground.
