St. Louis Mercantile Library inaugurated in 1846 is one of the oldest libraries in the city. They have a very diverse collection of books ranging from various categories like general collection, art, waterway etc. It was initially formed to provide a platform for young people to research and share their thoughts. The library is equipped with a meeting room and reading room for the benefit of the crowd.
