"Zenit's Home Ground"

Also called the Zenit Arena as it serves as Football Club Zenit Saint Petersburg's home ground, the Krestovsky Stadium is the crown jewel of the Krestovsky Island that occupies the easternmost frontier of Saint Petersburg's Petrogradsky District. Inaugurated in the year 2017, the arena is one of the most expensive football facilities in the world; costing the Russian Federation nearly 1.1 Billion USD. Envisioned by world-renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa, the stadium exhibits a revolutionary spaceship design that effortlessly catches the eye. It hosted its first game on the 17th of June 2017, which was a Russian Premier League clash between the hosts Zenit and FC Ural. The contemporary masterpiece is a major venue for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and is also scheduled to host a series of UEFA Euro 2020 matches as well.
