Sinii Most or Blue Bridge is 32.5 meters long and 97.3 meters (319 feet 2 inches) wide and crosses the river Moika at Isaakievskaia Ploshchad' (St. Isaac's Square). It was originally a wooden drawbridge in the 1730s and was painted blue. In 1818, a cast-iron one-bay arched bridge was built—41 meters wide. Engineer E.A. Adam widened the bridge to its current width in 1842. The bridge is currently being used as a parking lot.
