Avicii Arena

An epitome of spherical symmetry, The Ericsson Globe is a great example of architectural innovation in Stockholm's impressive skyline. Not unlike a giant pearl, this spherical masterpiece commands much respect. The indoor arena was built over a period of two and half years beginning in 1986. With a diameter of 110 meters (361 feet), the sphere is the world's largest hemispherical building and an impressive event venue with a maximum seating capacity of 16,000. Although primarily used as a hockey arena, the venue has also hosted other prestigious sporting events and concerts by international artists like Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Shania Twain, Katy Perry, Radiohead and Lady Gaga. Visible for miles around, the Ericsson Globe grants unmatched views of the city from its top, accessible via Skyview - an external, inclined elevator.
