Hellasgården

Hellasgården is a park not far from Stockholm. Here, you can choose from different paths that run along the marsh and the lakes, or through a leafy birch forest and over open fields. There is a playground with sand boxes and climbing frames. You can also play beach volleyball here. Nearby, a lawn leads to a safe artificial beach. This is an awesome way to spend quality time with the family.

Skansen

Located in Djurgården, this open-air museum also has a zoological park that displays Scandinavian fauna. Arthur Hazelius laid the foundation of this museum-park in 1891 to showcase the historical transition of the Swedish people. Historic buildings that date back to the 18th century surround the park, and the hosts dressed in traditional costumes greet the visitors. The park is open all through the year, and tourists throng to the place to experience the 18th century lifestyle. Moderna Museet

The Moderna Museum, located across the bridge from Skeppsholmen, is one of the most interesting museums in the city. The building itself is highly acclaimed for its clean aesthetic lines, open spaces and brilliant use of natural light. Many of the exhibitions create a powerful cocktail of provocative, shocking, confusing and fantastic elements, and it is possible that you may feel a bit dizzy in the spacious rooms, especially with works that force the audiences to re-evaluate space and dimensions. The Swedish Museum of Natural History

The Natural History Museum has exciting exhibitions and models that describe the development of the earth, features of the human body, and the ever-fluctuating properties of the oceans. New exhibitions are frequent, and many displays are interactive. The museum is a good place for children to learn and explore. Cosmonova, the biggest IMAX theater in Sweden, which is also a planetarium, is located within the museum.

Gröna Lund

If you are visiting Stockholm in the summer, don't miss Gröna Lund. Stockholm's most famous amusement park, it attracts both locals and tourists alike. Opened in 1883, it offers every kind of amusement park attraction; roller coasters, rides, a house of fun, free-fall, haunted house and lots more. There are several cotton candy and hot dogs stalls too. A wide variety of concerts by both Swedish and international artists take place here. The Grönalundsteatern theater is also found at this lively venue. You can even go on a cultural walk or check out an art exhibition.

Stockholm Concert Hall

Home to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Konserthuset (Stockholm Concert Hall) has been a part of Stockholm's music and cultural scene since 1926. The prestigious Nobel Prize Ceremony also takes place here annually in December. It is divided into three halls, namely the Main Hall, Grünewald Hall and the Aulin Hall.The Main Hall has a grand organ that has a whopping has 6,100 pipes. It also houses an art collection, while the Grünewald Hall itself is a work of art on display with a magnificent ceiling painting that often steals the show.
