Located in a house that was built in 1785 by a Danbury-based military captain, John Rider, the structure currently serves as a museum, offering tours around the entire property. The house was in a state of ruins until it was taken over by the Historical Society of Danbury, restoring it part for part. Visitors are shown each and every room within the structure, offering insight into the lifestyle of the Rider family.
