Situated behind Harborne High Street it is easy to miss this pleasant little booze place, but it's worth seeking out just for the collection of brass instruments hanging from the ceiling for no apparent reason. The clientele is mixed and the décor could do with sprucing up, but a safe selection of pub grub is offered to go along with some good Banks's beers. Quieter than the nearby White Horse and Bell, a seat is almost always guaranteed.
Situated in a picturesque rural setting next to the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, The Navigation Inn is a traditional, English pub. It offers a wide range of wines and ales in its lounge bar and in its main restaurant. It also boasts a well-maintained garden with a children's play area. Note that the play area is adjacent to the canal though!. Food wise you could choose from Harvest Pie or a traditional Stilton plowman's lunch in the bar.
