"Impressive Parish Church"
The former collegiate church of St. Jakob, now a Catholic parish church, was built between 1780 and 1783 as per the designs attributed to the French architect Michel d'Ixnard. It was built on the site of a previous building which, however, had no bearing on the new building. The current church is a classicist church building whose external appearance in particular is characterized by monumentality and clarity.
