Mount Orohena

Defined by jagged peaks blanketed in lush greenery, Mount Orohena is a splendid sight to behold. The peak rises above the turquoise and cobalt waters of nearby bays, affording hikers incredible views of the island and the surrounding ocean. Mount Orohena rises 2,241 metres (7,352 feet) above sea level and can be traversed on a series of trails, though these hikes are not for the faint of heart. Situated on the isle of Tahiti, this extinct volcano can be seen from most areas of the island.
