Ama Museum was established in 2016 and is dedicated to the times of the Japanese rule of Taiwan, and the lives of the comfort women at the time. Comfort women refer to women or girls that were forced by the Imperial Japanese Army to surrender into trafficking. Ama refers to the grandmothers of these comfort women that survived the Second World War.
