The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is one of the major tourist attractions in Taipei. The monument was constructed to honor the life and work of Chiang Kai-shek. The structure has an octagonal shaped blue roof and two white stairs with eighty-nine steps each. The ground floor is equipped with a library and museum which displays the life of Kai-shek with the help of various artifacts and documents. The first floor has a majestic statue of Kai-shek for the benefit of the crowd.

Lanyang Museum was inaugurated in 2010 and is located in Toucheng Township. The museum is located inside a structure which showcases complex architecture and has a roof protruding from the ground which resembles Guestas. The complex looks geometrical and the museum is divided into three sections; the mountain area, plain area and the ocean area. They aim at educating the crowd about the rich topography of the area and has various photographs and artifacts on display to contribute to the same. Spread over four levels; the museum remains closed on Wednesdays.

Just a short stroll away from Shi Da Nightmarket is the Mongolian & Tibetan Cultural Center. It was opened in 1993 by the Taiwan government to bring awareness to the art and culture of Mongolia and Tibet. The museum is free and welcome to all. Rotating exhibits are displayed on the first and second floors of the Center. On the third and fourth floors are a reading room, a lecture hall, a conference room, and a prayer hall. Groups of 15 or more must contact the Center to arrange their visit. - June Shen
