Mel Lastman Square

The Mel Lastman Square in North York is named for the city's former mayor Lastman, and is nestled in a busy, commercial neighborhood. Featuring a large, artificial pool and a stream, the square is meant for the benefit of the people working in the surrounding offices to sit, relax and maybe have a quiet lunch. Several activities are organized all year, including the farmers market, Canada festivities and such. The site also features an outdoor theater, where music concerts are performed on most of summer evenings.
