"Untouched Natural Locales"
One of Faroe Islands’ remotest villages, Gásadalur is untouched and pristine. Boasting of numerous, exemplary turf-roofed homes, the village is a treat for curious travelers. Set amidst idyllic locales, the village is home to the magnificent Múlafossur waterfalls. Interestingly, prior to 2004, there were limited routes for travelers to visit the village, all of which required hiking over mountain terrains and clambering up cliffs. Not only did the lack of accessibility limit tourists, but it also sequestered the village from the rest of the world, resulting in a drastic fall in its population. Now, with improved accessibility, the village welcomes traders and tourists from far and beyond.
