Jamie Knox Watersports

Champion windsurfer Jamie Knox heads this school for sailing, windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) and surfing at The Maharees. He guarantees to get you windsurfing or surfing within an hour. Perhaps even more popular than the adult school is Jamie Knox's range of kids' clubs. From youngsters to teens, Jamie Knox Watersports offers action packed two-hour sessions that are fully supervised by trained staff. Canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, paddle-boats, boogie boarding, wave-skis, and a thrilling banana boat ride are all part of the fun. Wetsuits, boots, and buoyancy aids are provided. They also have a shop on-site where you can buy everything you need for these water activities. From families to couples and adventure lovers, there is something for everyone to set your adrenaline rushing to an all time high!

Killarney Country Market

The Killarney Country Market is a farmers market which is organized every Friday from 10a to 2p, close to downtown Killarney. Word of mouth praises of locals have made it a popular haunt among those in the know. The market has an assortment of breads, cakes, fresh local meat on offer, with the food being fresh and giving a great taste of local produce.

Carraig Donn

Starting on the Aran Islands, Carraig Donn opened its first knitwear and gift shop in 1969. The company continues to expand across Ireland. While the Aran sweater is still the centrepiece of Carraig Donn's knitwear collection, a variety of contemporary knits with some exclusive designs are also stocked. Outerwear for all of the family is available with wax jackets, fleeces, and rainwear featuring. In the giftware section of the shop, linens, pottery, Belleek China, Waterford Crystal, and Galway Crystal are just some of the brands available - the emphasis is on high quality Irish goods. Tax-free shopping is offered to non-European Union nationals.

Hennebery's

This excellent sports shop boasts a large selection of goods. Although the stock comes from right across the athletic spectrum, the Irish sports' section is particularly noteworthy. If you're looking for the latest Kerry football team's kit, you're sure to find it here. They also have a good range of sliotars, and hurleys for all ages. Upstairs, there's a good selection of hiking boots and a medley of sporting equipment. Don't hesitate to ask if you don't see what you're looking for, as special orders are welcomed. The staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful.

Naughton's

This shop stocks a good range of sporting goods and will particularly appeal to those with an interest in Gaelic sports. Hurleys, sliotars, helmets, Gaelic footballs, jerseys, and accessories are all in good supply. There is an excellent children's section with miniature jerseys, shorts, and socks available for all the major teams. Away from purely Irish sports, there's a wide variety of athletics footwear and gear. It is a good spot to check for specific fashions that tend to sell out more quickly in the larger shops.

Call of the Wild

This is one of the best outdoor activity shops in Kerry with a vast range of goods and expert advice. Whether you need a helmet with a waterproof lamp for pot holing or rain gear for walking to work, Call of the Wild has an extensive range. There is an excellent supply of specialist goods for a multitude of outdoor activities, with all stock well displayed. The staff are particularly knowledgable and offer expert advice too.
