Serving the neighborhood of Traverse City since the year 1882 CE, Sleder's Family Tavern continues to grab the attention of many people even today. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Michigan and here one can see memorabilia and unique photographs emanating the history of Sleder's. The impressive original bar is made up of mahogany and lined with cherry wood. There are antique lights under the light of which are wooden booths and a row of round oak tables. The menu features salads, soups, sandwiches, baskets, burgers, a dinner menu and a special menu for kids. There is a separate ice- cream parlor. They also host dinners, receptions, parties on the Victorian- styled porch which can accommodate 90 guests.
