Gelateria Vatta

The Gelateria Vatta has offered refreshments and excellent gelato in the heart of Opicina (a village fifteen minutes from Trieste) for many years. This is a very large premises, light and clean, and a traditional Sunday afternoon stop-off for hundreds of Triestini who come to take a gelato or hot chocolate before a walk through the woods or after a trip on the historic tram that connects the capital to the village. The sundaes and the cakes are all excellent.
