Nick and 2J’s is a unique dining place owned by Nneka Daniel, who is also the chef. The main ingredient Nneka uses in her dishes is namely hemp (which is a cultivated plant that produces cannabis), however; when used in cooking, it is deemed as a healthy food. Nneka fuses the unique flavor of hemp into local Caribbean dishes such as Ginger Chicken, Sweet & Sour Shrimp and a signature dish called Hempouries. You can expect to join a long line, especially on weekends. The fried chicken has a unique taste and are served with crinkle fries. Although it sounds easy enough to prepare, the chef uses a combination of Chinese seasonings minus MSG to conjure up those popular Asian flavors.
