Arguably Tucson's most beautiful shopping environment, St. Philip's Plaza is home to fashion stores and innovative restaurants as well as art galleries in an upscale setting inspired by Mexican-style tiles and fountains, surrounded by lush landscaping. Other offerings include a salon and day spa and an all-suites hotel. The plaza is also noted for the Sunday morning farmers' market and Saturday night jazz concerts at the courtyard.
When locals say they're going to "The Mall," they don't mean the strip mall down at the corner. Rather, they're referring to the biggest shopping center in the city, the Tucson Mall. With more than 200 specialty stores, a large food court serving cuisine from all over the world and a great merry-go-round, this place has got everything. Of special interest for visitors from out of town is Arizona Avenue, a large section of the mall completely devoted to things southwestern including pottery, silver, turquoise, Native American art, you name it. Chances are you will find that special piece of Arizona you want to take home with you right here.
Going to the mall is one of Tucson's favorite entertainment activities, especially during the summer when it's just too hot to do anything outside. People relax and socialize in a cool, air-conditioned environment while getting their shopping and dining accomplished. Park Place, or Park Mall, on Broadway is no exception; in fact it's getting more popular since its recent facelift. Several stores have been added, and more are on the way, so check out everything that is new.

This is the store you might want to check out before embarking on your great outdoors adventure into the mountains and deserts of Southern Arizona. The shop carries practically everything you will need for your hike or climb. It's a bit more expensive than local chain stores, but the shop does have regular sales on clothes, camping gear, tents, climbing equipment, Sahuaro walking sticks, boots, books and maps. The knowledgeable staff is the real attraction here, making the prices a bit less painful. Most of the equipment is also available for rent.
This is certainly one of the leading cigar stores in the Southwest, and it's not just a good place to buy them, but actually one of the best places to smoke them. A recent Tucson city ordinance generally forbids smoking in restaurants and cafes, leaving few places for dedicated smokers to indulge their vices. After perusing a wide variety of premium cigars, pipe tobaccos and accessories, connoisseurs may relax in one of the plush lounge chairs, savor their cigars, sip espressos and exchange notes with other tobacco aficionados. What else can you ask for?
This picturesque shopping plaza on Broadway two blocks west of Country Club, designed in Spanish Colonial-Style, entices visitors to linger in its shaded courtyard before going back into the blazing Tucson summer heat. The area has recently attracted some of the city's finer retailers, as well as a bakery-cafe, Southwestern furniture shops and galleries, a deli, an upscale wine restaurant and a hair salon. This is a nice retreat from the noise and bustle of a major thoroughfare.

Tall palm trees and cool waterworks make shopping and dining an agreeable experience here. In case you won't notice, the courtyard is shaped like the state of Arizona. It features restaurants, Southwest gifts, jewelry, a bakery producing quality bread you won't find at the supermarket, and an art gallery. This also the location of the River Branch of the Public Library, which is, by the way, a great resource to find out about current events in Tucson. All stores accept major credit cards.
