"Remains of a Medieval Fortification"

Castle of Aznalmara was once a humongous medieval fortress situated near the outskirts of the town of Ubrique in Spain. It was constructed circa 13th Century atop a grassy, windswept hill. Overlooking the serene waters of Río Tavizna, this castle is currently in a state of decrepitude. Nevertheless, it has been designated as a National Monument owing to its historical and cultural value. Several walls and fragments of its towers can be seen even today. Don't give this place a miss at any cost if you happen to be in Ubrique.
