Plaza Redonda is one of those little corners of the city that possess a special kind of charm, much appreciated by tourists, visitors and residents alike. Easily accessible from San Vincente Mártir street, this plaza is one of the many must-visit sites in the city. It's a small interior plaza surrounded by small and narrow streets, inviting you to explore the old quarter. 'Redonda' means round and this "square" is in fact circular in shape. Every Sunday morning it turns into an improvised marketplace where you will find everything from everyday items to the most unexpected: From inexpensive clothing to pets, keepsakes, or religious stamps and statuettes. There are also some stands where you can find typical white and blond lace open throughout the week. Later and after a bit of shopping, you can relax at any of the wide assortment of restaurants and "tapas" bars available.
This is a fairly large shoe shop and it sells a wide variety of quality shoes and boots for both men and women. It has plain comfortable shoes that you can wear for work or to walk around town in; then there are the knee-length high-heel boots, ideal for a night out on the town. One of two in Valencia (the other being at No. 36 Don Juan De Austria street) this shop is in the Nuevo Centro shopping centre where you can find numerous other shops, bars and fast food restaurants. If you want a break from the shops and restaurants, you can take a walk (in your new footwear, of course) along the dried up river bed that has been turned into a park, El Antiguo Cauce del Río Turia.

The most important of the Soriano bookstores is the one on Jativa street, directly in front of the city bullring. There's another one at number 60 Gran Via Fernando Catolico. The bookstore is split into two levels. On the first, there is a fantastic collection of magazines, comics, city guides, maps and recently released novels. You'll also probably find any tourist magazine or publication available. In the basement there are more specialized categories of books. You'll find works about architecture, occult sciences, natural healing, comics, etc. They will also help you order and find books or magazines they don't have in stock.
