Considered to be one of the best public golf courses in Vancouver, the University Golf Club's 18 hole course is just fantastic. Formerly named Westward Ho!, the club was opened in 1929. The golf course has many fir trees, narrow fairways and other challenges for all kinds of golfers. The course is meant for non-members only.
Langara Golf Course was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1926 and later redesigned by Thomas McBroom, a Canadian architect. Since it is on the slope, the shaped, tree lined golf links are easier to walk and are challenging to all golf players. A great course for amateur golfers for their practice facilities.
This popular golf-course has sculptured but narrow fairways and strategically placed water hazards. The 6,265-yard par-71 course on the banks of the Fraser River is easily accessible. The river breeze, full-grown trees and well-maintained greens provide a respite from city noise. After a round, have a bite at the clubhouse, which serves beverages as well as soups, sandwiches and finger foods. The Golf course opens everyday at 7a in the morning.
This picturesque golf course features panoramic views of the ocean. Located along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway, the Furry Creek Golf & Country Club is a championship, 18-hole golf course designed by the renowned Robert Muir Graves in 1993 and has been considered a first class course ever since. The Sea to Sky Grill is a fantastic restaurant located onsite perfect for a late luncheon after a round of golf. Check the website for tee times.
