Do not miss visiting the Tomb of Antonio Canova, a famous Italian Sculptor from the 19th Century while in the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. The tomb is built in the shape of a pyramid and carved from marble with standing statues adorning the entrance. The statues are created by the students of the sculptor himself. The symbols on the tomb signify the Canova's involvement with the Freemasons. However, only the heart of the sculptor is contained in the monument.
