Sheltered in the seemingly tropical terrains of Southern California, Lake Arrowhead is a tourist getaway in a postcard-like setting. Surrounding a lake of the same name, this much admirable territory is guarded by coniferous trees and the rocky San Bernardino mountains which are often clad in a thick layer of snow in the colder months. Numerous resorts and cabins enclose the perimeter of the lake, and the tall pines and calm, deep blue lake waters make for a picturesque environment that is steeped in tranquility. Trekking, skiing, backpacking and fishing in this area are popular activities among locals and tourists alike. Although the site is shrouded in unabashed natural beauty, Lake Arrowhead is also a cultural and communal nexus, a vibrant hive of soulful musical performances, and events centered around art and local traditions.
