If you're looking to hear some great jazz music, visit Porgy & Bess. This club is located in the Inner City and has been in business since 1993. Flex is the place for fans of non-commercial music. However, this does not mean that they don't play commercial sounds at all. The music and DJs vary nightly; Wednesdays are "London Calling" with independent music; Thursdays are known as "Dub Club" and feature drum & bass and hip-hop. It is not overcrowded (around 200 people on a normal night) although the dance floor can hold about 600 people. There is a coffee shop at the water's edge where you can wait before it opens (5p).
