National Press Club

"Newspapermen's Club"

On March 12, 1908, a discussion among journalists led to the foundation of the National Press Club. Since then it has prompted people to join the club and have intellectual talks, meetings and seminars. This form of gathering was intended to increase social contact between the journalists. However over the years many affluent and influential people have been a part of such discussions and gatherings. Also every president since Theodore Roosevelt has visited the National Press Club.
