"1920s Drinking Adventures"

Speakeasies abound in Washington DC but Harold Black literally recreates the magic of the 1920s Prohibition Era. Only those in the know will be able to spot the place, that too with guidance from one of their staff. Imagine a nondescript door leading into an empty hallway, then up a flight of steps and a long corridor and still you cannot spot the door that finally leads into the lounge. Sounds like a scene from a Victorian novel but you can actually experience it at this Capitol Hill lounge. Adding to the charm is the relatively low presence of the bar on the Internet, including on social media; it depends mainly on word-of-mouth publicity just like in the olden days. Blinds prevent light from the street from flooding into the bar, so you can look forward to your dream candlelight meal. And that's not all! Both the classic and craft cocktails leave little to be desired and go well with the overall speakeasy experience.
