"Overlooking Watchet"

Although the earliest fabric of the church can be dated back to the 13th Century, a number of additions and alterations were made to the structure over the years. Designated a Grade I listed building, the church is home to a number of interesting artifacts including some fine Caen stone reredos and a carved rood screen. The Wyndham chapel found within the church is characterized by a number of elaborate monuments to members of the Wyndham family, including brasses and murals. Apart from these there are many more memorials which chronicle the local history of those served by the church. The church itself is, in a way, a memorial to St. Decuman as it is believed that Watchet was where the saint met his end.
