Josiah Chowning's Tavern

Famous for its Gambols, uproarious games and songs that were forms of entertainment in old taverns and pubs, Josiah Chowning's Tavern is a popular joint for the young and old alike. Visitors are often encouraged by the friendly staff members to join the festivities and if you decide to participate, you certainly won't regret the decision. The atmosphere is energetic yet comfortable; perfect for an engaging, fun night out. You can devour colonial-style pub grub and pair it with a beverage of your choice. Offerings are quite reasonable and do not put much weight on your pocket.

King's Arms Tavern

The original King's Arms Tavern was started in 1772 under the direction of Jane Vobe and immediately became the tavern of choice for the upper echelons of Colonial Williamsburg society. Today, the tavern has been reconstructed in such a way that you can enjoy a delicious meal in a fashionable colonial setting. The restaurant owners have gone a step further to make their diners feel like they have stepped back in time like having the servers dress in costumes. At dinner, the restaurant is illuminated by candlelight, and musicians dressed in colonial garb serenade patrons. Known for its hearty American meals, its specialties include Peanut Soupe, Sallet, and Pecan Pie.

DoG Street Pub

This gastropub draws its name from the road upon which it sits, Duke of Gloucester (DoG), but the interior is much more focused on man's furry best friend. Owner and chef David Everett opened the pub with the goal of pairing the best craft beers with the best pub food around - a goal he has since attained. Visitors to the pub can sip on craft beers from around the country while munching away on one of the gourmet menu offerings.

Fin Seafood

Fin Seafood welcomes its guests to gorge on their tantalizing fare of American cuisine. Known for their seafood preparations, do try out their crab cakes, Seared Scallops and Oysters with Meyer Lemon Mignonette. Complement your food with a delectable wine from their list. On weekends, this place throws its door open to guests who would love to enjoy a delectable brunch fare. The Portside Room, that can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests and is replete with audio visual equipment and its own bar, is a great place to host a business meeting.
