"Visit the Inksters"

Constructed in the early 1850s, Seven Oaks House is one of the oldest surviving homes in Manitoba. This was the family home of John Inkster, a renowned figure in Manitoba's history. The foundation, laid by Inkster himself, was of stone, while the entire structure was built with wood. In 1958 Seven Oaks House opened to the public as a museum, wherein they could tour the home and the grounds. Seven Oaks House Museum retains the original decor and artifacts of the place, as it was used by the Inkster family.
