The construction of Barrett-Byam Homestead dates back to 1663. The original house was built in the shape of a saltbox with a sloping roof facing south. The main highlight of the house is the centrally placed chimney and fireplace in every room. The building was later renovated to its current form during 1800's. It currently serves as a house museum and also the headquarters of Chelmsford Historical Society. There is a huge collection of antique utensils and other kitchen equipment's on display inside the house.
RRobert S. Peabody Institute of Archaeology was founded in 1901 to serve as a conservation ground of Native American culture. The purpose of the museum is to educate patrons on its archaeological findings of human remains and material related to native American culture. The museum has collectibles like books and various content from the ancient period that would present the ancient culture. The museum has photographs of some intriguing historical facts and also stores hidden historical records. The directors of the museum intent to educate and spread more information about the culture and importance of Native American history. The museum is an ideal place to learn in depth about the local culture and it also serves as a learning ground for local scientists.
Beebe Estate currently functions as a cultural center with local art exhibitions. The house was built in 1828 and served as the residence of William Foster. The structure is two storied with prominent Greek Revival style architecture and distinct interiors. It is currently owned by the City of Melrose and was registered under the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

The house has a prominent federal style architecture and was converted into a house museum in 1912. The two storied house consists of a centrally placed chimney and a library and has modals of all the inventions of Benjamin Thompson on display. The interiors of the house is a visual treat with well complemented wood work. The house was listed as a National Historical Landmark in 1975 and was also registered under the National Register of Historic Places. It is currently owned and managed by the Rumford Historical Association.
A historically prominent Gothic Revival-style house in Harvard, Massachusetts, the Still River Baptist Church is a famous tourist landmark for locals and tourists alike. Previously known as the Still River Meetinghouse, this historic house was built in 1832 by the Still River Baptist Society to host weekly prayer and worship services. The house and church were enlisted into the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
